Goose Hunts

Our goose hunting takes place around the city of Lubbock, Texas. We have hunting areas in every direction. Our hunting areas are located all over the Panhandle. Driving times are anywhere from 10 minutes to 90 minutes. When we pick a field that is a little farther away it is almost always worth the drive.

We use nothing but the best equipment to make sure that your group has the best opportunity to take some birds. We hunt over a spread of up to twenty dozen Real-geese pro-series silhouette goose decoys and up to ten dozen Higdon full bodies and stackable full bodies. We also use Flagman goose flags to pull in those high flyers. All of our hunting areas are scouted on a daily basis to provide the best chance possible.

To keep you hidden and off the cold ground during the hunt we use original goose chair blinds and cover up with hunt proven ghillie blankets. We believe that everyone should be in on the calling so bring your call. The more noise the better.

During a normal day's hunt we will get out to the field early to set up the decoys in the exact spot the geese were the day before.  We can usually drive into the fields.  If we can not drive out, due to weather or the landowner, we will carry the decoys out on sleds and by hand. Everyone in the group will help set decoys.

The hunt lasts until our limit is reached or until noon.

            What you will need to bring:

1. Cold weather camo clothing and camo cap, waterproof is a good idea. (we have cover-ups just in case)

2. Shotgun and ammo. #2 and bigger shot. DO NOT BRING LEAD ON A GOOSE HUNT, we have 3" 12 gauge BBs for sale if needed.

3. A valid Texas hunting license with state and federal waterfowl stamps. It is a good idea to get the free sandhill crane stamp just in case one of those big guys flies into the spread. Your hunter's education card. HIP certification.

4. Snacks, Drinks, Coffee, Hot Chocolate.

5. Cooler to put your birds in.

6. Camera or video camera.

7. Extra pair of boots/shoes (it does get kind of muddy in the fields after it rains)
